About Newton Abbot Rugby Club

Newton Abbot Rugby Club, also known fondly as NARFC, is one of the oldest rugby clubs in Devon. Established in 1873, the ethos of the club is firmly rooted in community and team camaraderie with an emphasis on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where anyone can come along and participate regardless of playing ability or experience. More than a century after the club was founded, NARFC remains committed to meeting the needs of Newton Abbot and the surrounding areas as well as celebrating the vibrant community here in the South West.

What we did

As a Platinum Partner, Priority Pixels were already familiar with the NARFC ethos. Despite being a fixture within their local community, NARFC were looking to build a lot more hype around their new marquee and sell tickets to a selection of upcoming events. The club asked Priority Pixels for assistance with their social media, including paid social advertising that would help get the events in front of a larger and newer target audience and help drive ticket sales.

Priority Pixels were asked for help with:

  • Social Media Marketing – NARFC wanted to build hype around their events on social media, with the aim of increasing visibility of their events and improving ticket sales. This included organic and paid social media, content creation and the management of multiple social media channels including Facebook and Instagram.

The team at Priority Pixels were more than happy to help NARFC out with their social media and quickly got to work. Our content creation team worked to write exciting, impactful copy before passing the torch to our talented graphic designers. Working closely with NARFC, our team writes, visualises and designs social posts on an ongoing basis, with a focus on creating content that catches the eye. We also create content to be used for paid advertising on social media. After analysing the target audience of the client, we tailored the paid advertising to specific demographics in and around the Devon area.

As a result of our hard work and close-knit relationship with the club, events at NARFC have been going off with a bang. The Comedy Night, hosted by Noel Brodie and his gang of comedians, had over 200 guests in attendance who piled in for a night of laughter, pints and delicious hog roast. There was also the amazingly successful Bonfire Night, where over 5000 Devonians packed in for an evening of fireworks and family fun.

Our relationship with NARFC is now going from strength to strength, and the team at Priority Pixels can’t wait to see where we can take the club next.
