Facebook allows businesses to amend their trading hours and services on their profile pages due to Covid-19
Facebook has recently announced that businesses impacted by the coronavirus outbreak can update their pages to reflect their new working conditions. This new feature allows businesses to state if they are temporarily closed or operating under different opening hours. There is also an option to state whether you are offering a different service, such as take-aways.
These changes are simple to make but vital in helping to keep your audience up to date. In order to make these changes, all you need to in the mobile app is:
- Open your Page Settings, and select the Page Info tab
- Scroll down to your Opening Hours
- Here you should see a button titled Temporary Service Changes
- You will then be provided with two options, whether you have changed your services, or if you are temporarily closed.
Once you have selected the option most relevant to you, press the save button and then your information will update. These updates will then appear on the business page itself, in any previews of your page, search results, and curated lists of local resources on Facebook.
This announcement follows a similar one from Google about their Google My Business update.
