Priority Pixels Team Up with Community Interest Company
Memory Matters is a community interest company established in 2010 by work besties Laura Walker and Kate Smith. Fed up with the lack of decent support in Devon for people affected by dementia, the entrepreneurial pair used their mutual backgrounds in nursing and healthcare to found Memory Matters. Founded with the intention of providing humanising, meaningful support in their local community of Plymouth, more than a decade on the ethos of Memory Matters remains the same. The organisation is committed to supporting people living in dementia and empowering them to live well.
In 2017, Kate and Laura would open Moments Cafe, a ‘social enterprise with a conscience’. The cafe prides itself on high quality, homemade food made from locally sourced ingredients. Nothing brings people together like good food and good conversation, right? Oh, and of course, a game of scrabble doesn’t hurt either.
Social Media Marketing & SEO Copy
The main goal of the cafe is to provide a safe, welcoming environment for everyone from all manner of backgrounds, including people affected by and living with dementia. All proceeds from the cafe go back into Memory Matters for the purpose of carrying on their amazing work. This includes organising workshops, support groups and training sessions.
We were over the moon when Memory Matters first approached us back in September. The company needed a boost in terms of brand visibility and asked for assistance with social media management and a bit of SEO copywriting to boot. So as always, we got to work.
Priority Pixels have been working closely with Memory Matters for a few months now. We took over the management of several social media channels and the monthly newsletter. We also publish keyword-rich blog content on a monthly basis to the Memory Matters website.
