With over 50 franchisees across the UK and Ireland, Turtle Tots gives like-minded individuals the opportunity to run their own successful swim schools. Today, Turtle Tots teaches more than 14,000 babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers to swim every week.

Our primary objective in designing the Turtle Tots website was to create an intuitive, seamless experience for users looking to find and book swimming lessons. To achieve this, we focused on a clean, structured UI design that combines clear navigation with user-friendly functionality. The website’s layout is intentionally minimalistic, with ample white space, carefully chosen fonts and a well-organised structure that draws attention to essential elements, eliminating any potential distractions. This clean design enhances readability and makes navigating the site a smooth, engaging experience for all users.
A prominently displayed ‘Find a Lesson’ button was integrated into the main navigation, strategically positioned for easy access from any page. This call-to-action stands out visually, encouraging users to initiate the booking process without hesitation. When clicked, the button leads to an interactive map where users can enter their location to view available pools and lesson options nearby. This map is central to the booking experience, designed with subtle colour cues and icons that guide users through selecting their preferred location with minimal effort.
Each pool location has its dedicated page, which provides comprehensive information, including class schedules, instructor details and facility features. By offering an organised, detail-rich pool page, parents can effortlessly browse available options and select the ideal lesson for their child, ensuring they have all necessary information to make a confident booking decision.
We further streamlined the booking process to be as frictionless as possible, reducing the steps needed for users to book their desired lesson. By focusing on a user-centric design approach, we removed unnecessary clicks and integrated clear, visible buttons to guide users through each stage. This design not only makes the site easy to navigate but also creates an enjoyable, stress-free experience for busy parents seeking the best swim lessons for their children.
Ultimately, the UI design enhances Turtle Tots’ core mission by making swimming lessons accessible and straightforward to book. The website’s clean, modern aesthetic combined with functionality-focused design elements supports both brand consistency and an elevated user experience, helping parents confidently and efficiently connect with Turtle Tots swim programmes.

Our approach to WordPress development for Turtle Tots was rooted in adaptability and search optimisation. Each franchisee can easily contribute unique content to their own dedicated blog, allowing for regular updates that keep the site dynamic and relevant. This capability not only strengthens Turtle Tots’ digital presence but also drives continuous SEO growth, with franchisees creating keyword-rich, location-specific content that boosts visibility in local searches. To further support local SEO, we implemented a structured URL format that includes location terms for each pool and franchisee page, ensuring users find accurate, locally tailored information based on their location.
