Successful PPC Campaign and New Website for Gymboree Play & Music
The year was 1976. It was the year Apple was founded by Steve Jobs and some other guy. The cult classic film Rocky was released in cinemas and a pint of milk was a whopping 9p. Meanwhile, in Marin County, Californian mum Joan Barnes was struggling to find the right play centre for her young children.
Essentially, Joan was after fun, age-appropriate activities in a safe environment where she could play and learn with her kids. Failing to find such a space, she did what any innovative mother with an entrepreneurial streak would do – she started her own in a church basement. More than forty years later, Gymboree Play & Music encompasses multiple franchises in over 30 countries. The business has grown from humble beginnings in small-town California, to a global enterprise. These days, Gymboree Play & Music is synonymous with early childhood education and development.
Gymboree Play & Music: From Church Basement to International Franchise
By combining education and play in their famously innovative classes, Gymboree Play & Music continues to foster confidence and creativity in young children even today. Perhaps most important, the business continues to give parents what Joan couldn’t find all those years ago – a safe, age-appropriate environment where they can learn and grow with their little ones.
Of course, we were beside ourselves when Gymboree Play & Music UK first approached us and asked for help with their website. The internationally renowned business is like, famous. We couldn’t be prouder to have built their current website – and added bonus, it’s a stunner. Our web development team really did go above and beyond for this one.
At the time, the business was also on the lookout for a new ad agency. Priority Pixels are experienced with all aspects of pay-per-click advertising, so we agreed we would take on their Google, Facebook and Instagram ads. You can see how it all went here*.
*Spoiler alert – it went well 👀
