A New Website for Cornerstone Housing

We’ve recently launched a new website for Cornerstone Housing. The project involved a full rebuild of Cornerstone Housing’s existing website, which had grown over time and become difficult to navigate and manage. With a large volume of content covering services, organisational information and resources, the priority was to create a clearer structure that made information easier to find while remaining flexible for future updates.

A key requirement for the new website was accessibility. The site has been designed and developed to meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards, ensuring it can be used confidently by people with a wide range of access needs. Accessibility considerations were built into every stage of the project, from content structure and navigation to typography, colour contrast and keyboard interaction.

Alongside accessibility, improving usability across devices was essential. The new website provides a consistent experience across desktop, tablet and mobile, with simplified layouts, clearer navigation and improved content hierarchy. This helps users quickly understand where they are on the site and how to access relevant information without unnecessary friction.

The website has been built on WordPress using a bespoke approach, allowing Cornerstone Housing to manage content easily while maintaining a clear and structured framework as the site continues to grow. Custom content structures and a streamlined admin experience ensure the platform remains practical and sustainable over the long term.

Following launch, we continue to support Cornerstone Housing with ongoing website support, helping ensure the site remains secure, accessible and effective as content and requirements evolve.

The result is a clear, accessible and content-led website that better reflects Cornerstone Housing’s work and provides a strong digital foundation for the organisation moving forward.
