Priority Pixels Achieves Cyber Essentials Certification

Priority Pixels has been officially certified under the UK Government’s Cyber Essentials scheme, an independently assessed baseline of security controls designed to protect organisations from the most common cyber attacks.

The Cyber Essentials scheme was developed by the National Cyber Security Centre to help organisations of all sizes demonstrate that they meet a documented security standard. Certification is achieved by working through a formal assessment against five technical control areas: firewalls, secure device configuration, user access control, malware protection and security update management. Every device and system used to deliver client work is included in the scope, from developer laptops to production servers.

For an agency like Priority Pixels, this matters because of the volume of client information we handle every day. Website login credentials, ad account access, CRM and analytics tokens, client email correspondence and hosting keys all pass through our systems. Achieving Cyber Essentials confirms that the way we store, transmit and control access to that information meets a national standard rather than sitting on trust alone.

Preparing for the assessment involved a full review of our internal security controls. Endpoint management, patching cadence, multi-factor authentication, password policies, admin account separation and starter and leaver processes were all documented and tested. Where controls needed tightening, we tightened them. The certificate is verifiable on the public IASME registry and available as a PDF download from our dedicated page.

Cyber Essentials sits alongside our ICO registration as a UK data controller, our Good Business Charter accreditation and our internal security procedures. Together they form the standards we hold ourselves to when handling anything that belongs to a client.
