Comedy Night at NARFC: Priority Pixels Hit the Town!
Posted: 22nd November 2021
On Saturday night, the team from Priority Pixels collectively let our hair down and came together to celebrate the first-ever NARFC Comedy Night.
Hosted by Noel Brodie, his show The Surgery is one of the most well-known comedy shows here in the South West. So of course, when the team at Priority Pixels found out Newton Abbot Rugby Club was hosting Noel and his gang of cheeky comedians for a night of laughter, pints and delicious food, we jumped at the chance to get together outside of work and hit the town.
It was a night like Newton Abbot Rugby Club had never seen. The drinks were flowing, the hog was a-roasting. Paul wore his best plaid shirt, and web developer Danni swapped her sensible trainers for sensible ballet flats. Of course, Priority Pixels power couple Nathan and Louise were in attendance and looking sharp. I was also there with bells on and excited to finally introduce my work family to my Scottish beau who came all the way down from Glasgow to meet everyone.
Laughter Really is the Best Medicine
It’s true what they say, laughter really is the best medicine! NARFC pulled out all the stops for the event, hosting twenty tables in their beautiful marquee. For dinner, we enjoyed a delicious hog roast with trimmings courtesy of The Hog Roast Caterer and bread rolls supplied by Shaldon Bakery.
The night was especially important for Noel Brodie, the compère for the evening and founder of The Surgery. The show has been out of action for the past eighteen months due to the pandemic. As a result, it was wonderful to join a sizeable crowd just shy of 200 people. We enjoyed a comedy lineup hosted by Noel Brodie himself, as well as fellow comedians Tom Glover, Sandi Smith, Dani Johns and Matt Rees.
As you can see from the photo, the team at Priority Pixels had a great time at the NARFC Comedy Night – maybe a little too much fun although we’re firm believers that there is no such thing. We can’t wait for the next comedy night at the club, which rumour has it won’t be far away.
